How to Enable Waiting Room in Zoom

Once your enable waiting room in Zoom account is set up, you can add the Waiting Room feature to meetings. This allows you to capture all incoming participants during a meeting and make it mandatory for all users. If you’d like to make the Waiting Room a mandatory feature for your meetings, you can make it mandatory for all members of your account. This feature is also useful for webinars, but not recommended for live sessions. Instead, consider creating a practice session and capturing all participants separately.


After installing the extension, you must enable the Waiting Room feature Google. By default, only Zoom users can see the Waiting Room. But you can customize its appearance and settings by adding a description and logo. You can also customize the name of your Waiting Room to attract more participants. This feature works for all platforms, so you can try it out on any device. Here are some tips to help you set up your Waiting-Room.

First, log in to your Zoom account and click My Meetings. Next, click on the Personal Meeting Room tab. There, you can set the details and options. Look for “Send Participant to Waiting Room on Participation”. Also enable or disable the option by clicking on it. You can manage the settings of the Waiting-Room by selecting the menu item named ‘Manage Participant’.

To enable the Waiting Room, click on the pencil icon next to the meeting title. You can then change the name of the Meeting, or select an appropriate logo. You can also choose the audio-visual notifications for the waiting room. Then, the host can turn the Waiting Room on or off again, as necessary. To disable it, click on the microphone and speaker icons on your Zoom screen.
